Rolling over video

Rolling over tummy to back!!

Practicing this morning
Practicing again this afternoon

1. Upright

2. Moving to the side

3. Onto the side

He stayed like this for a good 5 minutes but I saw he was starting to use his legs to build some momentum to roll onto his back. I noted he seemed to be really motivated to see me so I tried praising him from behind and then moving around to where his feet are.... this was helpful because when I moved there he was even MORE motivated to get on his back so he could see me. I am so proud of my baby boy!!

Carson also slept through through the night last night... 8:45 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

"C-A-R-S-O-N"

"HI"

Tim got a job!!

Tim had been praying that when the time had come for him to look for a job that something would open up at the airport he has been flying out of. The reason for this is that he could fly out of where he works so he can continue his training, as well as meet with instructors after work in hopes to pursue his certified flight instructor license. The whiteman airport to fly out of is less expensive than anywhere else and this would be of GREAT benefit to him.

What do you know... first place Tim goes to to see if they are hiring... they are!! He got a job and today is his first day of work. He will continue working as an aircraft mechanic working on small airplanes. yay!!

On another note... here is another Carson video. :)

Thoughts from Betty Draper

Betty and her husband Ace are missionaries in PNG and serve the missionaries there through organization/administration and encouragement. We had breakfast with this couple and they will be returning to PNG this Friday. They have been serving there for years and their daughter is actually a tribal church planter with the Shontere's among the Yembi Yembi people in PNG. Anyhow we were talking about global ministry and how global ministry includes the states and these were some of her thoughts about how she decided where she would go serve the Lord in her life.

"People ask me all the time in reference to me and my husband going
overseas, "When were you called to be a missionary?" and my response is "No, I
am commanded to be a missionary and I am called to be his helpmate".

I think her point was to say that God calls us all to do different things. We do the things he calls us to and he would never ask us to do anything that contradicts what His word asks us to do. So, as a result, God calls her husband to a place, and God calls her to be his helpmate and basically support and encourage her husband. Wherever this may be, makes her a missionary. We are all called to be a missionary... across the street and across the globe.

April/May Update

Ministry –As we continue our study on “God’s Heart for the Nations” we are now moving from studying this theme in the Old Testament, to studying this theme in the New Testament. This is very exciting as our Bible study has grown and we now have three other couples that we meet with, kids and all!! This month we will be serving at Children’s Hunger Fund (http://www.chfus.org/) with our kids and we are in process of serving with the Ventura County Rescue Mission in hopes to volunteer there on a regular basis. Please pray that God would open our eyes to the needs around us and give us a heart that breaks for the things that His heart breaks for. Pray that as a result we would always move toward action. “Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins” (James 4:17, NIV).

Flying – I now have my commercial license!! I took the test for my commercial pilot’s license this last month and I’m excited to say I passed. Praise God! This was the final required license I needed. New Tribes Mission (NTM), the organization we are currently looking to fly for, has their flight review in January. This is a week long evaluation where they test your piloting and mechanic skills. If we pass we would be accepted into NTM and begin their training. Until then I will be building my flights hours. I currently need about 60 hrs to meet their requirements of 300. We ask for your prayers that God would continue to prepare me for this coming evaluation.

Home Life – Carson is almost 9 weeks old!! We are doing really well adjusting to having a baby. We are so thankful; God gave us such a beautiful baby boy! When we think about our love for Carson, it reminds us of such an even greater love that God has for us. That just blows us away! Can you imagine sacrificing your one and only son? Now that we have a child, we can’t even imagine how hard that would have been. Praise God for the gift of salvation and what He has given us in Christ.

Support- We are moving along. We know there are people praying for us and God has really answered your prayers of continued protection and safety while flying, prayers for continued financial support, and prayers that you would grow me as a pilot. For this, we are thankful. Please continue to pray that we could finish the hours for flying. To continue partnering with us, please send your support to the address listed below. Make checks payable to “Didasko Ministries” and include in the memo line, “Tim Harvey”. Thank you!!

In God’s Grace, Tim and Kim
